About the school

Twenty years of serving children in Kobujoi

Founded in 2004 by parents from Kobujoi market, Brightsmile is a not-for-profit school serving Aldai Sub-County and the neighbouring wards. We keep fees low, reinvest every shilling into teaching and feeding, and never turn a child away because of hardship. Our teachers are TSC trained, our compound is fenced and secure, and our results place us among the strongest schools in the sub-county.

Pre-Primary

Play-based literacy and numeracy, mother tongue and English, with a free daily porridge programme and a safe fenced play area.

Life at Brightsmile

A full day, well spent and well fed

Learning starts at 7.30 am with morning porridge and ends with games at 4.00 pm. Between those hours our pupils cook in the home science room, tend the school shamba, rehearse for the Kenya Music Festival and train on the field that has sent runners to the county championships. No child goes home hungry — our hot lunch programme is part of the school day.

Joining Brightsmile is straightforward

Applications are open for the coming term for PP1 through Grade 9. We keep fees subsidised and offer flexible payment plans, bursaries for self-sponsored students, and fee waivers for needy performing students. Visit the school office on any weekday between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm, or call us to book a guided tour.

The school sits 800 metres off the Kobujoi–Kaptumo road, next to Kobujoi market. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, and Saturday mornings during term.
